Cardboard Box Template

Generate a foldable cardboard box template at any size — rectangular or polygon (hexagon, octagon…). Print or trace it, cut the solid lines, score and fold the dashed lines, and glue.

Shape

Reuse a second-hand box: cut it flat, lay this template on it, then cut, score and fold to your own size.

How it helps

Foldable box (RSC) template at any width, depth, and height.
Separate cut lines and fold/score lines, plus a glue tab.
Print at true 1:1 scale, or export DXF and SVG for cutters.
Each output uses 1 credit and processing is browser-local — great for reusing second-hand cardboard.

Best practices

  • - Score (don't cut through) the dashed fold lines so the cardboard folds crisply.
  • - Fold along the corrugation/grain where you can for cleaner, stronger creases.
  • - Print at 100% / actual size — turn off 'fit to page' so the template stays 1:1.
  • - Add a few millimetres to your product's size for padding and an easy fit.

Limitations

  • - Styles: shipping carton (RSC), tuck-top (product/gift) box, and polygon (e.g. hexagon) box; mailer and pillow boxes are next.
  • - Dimensions are nominal — very thick cardboard may need a small allowance for the material.
  • - It is a flat template, not a 3D preview; fold a paper test first for tight tolerances.

FAQ

What box styles can I make?

A shipping carton (RSC, flaps that meet in the middle), a tuck-top product/gift box (lid with a tapered tuck flap, dust flaps, and a finger notch), and a polygon prism box (e.g. a hexagon) with petal flaps. Set the material thickness for accurate tuck and dust-flap allowances.

How do I use the template?

Print it at 1:1 or export the DXF/SVG, transfer it to your cardboard, cut the solid lines, score the dashed fold lines, fold up the walls and flaps, and glue the tab.

Will it print at the right size?

Yes. Use the Print 1:1 button and set your printer to 100% / actual size (no scaling). The SVG carries real mm/inch dimensions.

Can I reuse an old box?

Absolutely — that's the point. Flatten a second-hand box, lay this template on a clean area, and cut your own custom-size box from it.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The template is generated entirely in your browser. Sign-in is required only when you download or copy an output, which uses 1 credit.
