The tool currently generates external involute spur gears, two-gear pairs with centre-distance calculation, internal ring gears, linear racks, approximate roller-chain sprockets, timing belt pulleys, and asymmetric ratchet wheels.
For two external spur gears, centre distance is module x (teeth1 + teeth2) / 2. The gear-pair mode uses that formula and shows the ratio and both pitch diameters.
Yes. For single circular profiles you can set a mounting hole count, bolt-circle diameter, and hole diameter. The holes are exported as real DXF/SVG cut circles.
Yes. Choose round, D-shaft, or keyed bore styles, then tune the flat depth or keyway dimensions.
Spur gears and racks are designed around module and pressure angle, so matching those values is the starting point. You should still test clearance, kerf, and material tolerances.
Yes. Pick laser, plasma, CNC router, or pen mode and download ready-to-run G-code generated from the same cut geometry as the DXF - no separate CAM step needed for simple cuts.
All parameters are stored in the page URL. Use the Copy link button (or copy the address bar) and anyone opening the link sees exactly the same gear.
No. The gear is generated entirely in your browser. Sign-in is required only when you download or copy an output, which uses 1 credit.
