Privacy Policy

iLoveDXF ('iLoveDXF', 'we', 'us', or 'our') provides browser-based DXF, CAD/CAM, PDF, SVG, and image tools at ilovedxf.com (the 'Service'). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. iLoveDXF is designed to minimize data collection: by default your files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
Local-first file processing
Most iLoveDXF tools run entirely in your browser. When you open, view, convert, merge, split, watermark, or otherwise work with a file using these tools, the file stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Two tools currently require a server step: 'DWG to DXF' conversion and 'Image/PDF to PowerPoint'. For these, the file you choose is transmitted to our conversion service, processed in memory to produce the output, returned to you, and not retained afterward or stored in our database. We may briefly process technical request information (such as your IP address) to run the conversion, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits.
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication identifiers. You may optionally provide a display name and a marketing preference. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name and profile picture from Google.
Approximate location. When you sign up, we record an approximate location (country and, where available, city) derived from your network connection through our hosting provider. This is coarse, network-derived location only - not GPS or precise location.
Saved reports. When you choose to save a report, we store metadata and analysis results, such as the file name, file size, tool used, entity, layer, and warning counts, an analysis summary, and timestamps. We do not store the raw contents of your DXF, image, or PDF files.
Usage and activity. We log usage events and periodic session signals (for example, which tool was used, exports performed, and credit activity) to operate the Service, maintain your history, and prevent abuse.
Credits and referrals. We store your credit balance, credit transaction history, your referral code, and referral relationships when you invite others or join through an invite.
Billing information. Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. We store billing-related identifiers such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, and renewal date.
Technical and security data. Our servers and providers process standard technical information such as IP address, device and browser information, and request logs to deliver the Service, secure it, and prevent fraud and abuse.
Cookies and analytics. We use essential cookies and, only with your consent, optional analytics. See 'Cookies and similar technologies' below.
What we do not collect
We do not store the raw contents of files processed by the in-browser tools. We do not collect precise geolocation. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information or information from children under 13. We do not sell your personal information.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate the Service and your account; process conversions and exports; maintain your saved history, credits, and subscription; provide customer support; secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and, with your consent, measure usage through analytics and send marketing communications.
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service and your account); our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, and improving the Service); your consent (optional analytics and marketing); and compliance with legal obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of essential cookies, including a cookie that remembers your language preference and cookies that keep you signed in. These are necessary for the Service to function.
Optional analytics (Google Analytics) load only after you choose 'Allow analytics' in our cookie banner, and not if you have enabled the 'Do Not Sell or Share' setting. We store your cookie choice in your browser. For details and controls, see our Cookies and Privacy Choices pages.
Service providers we work with
We share limited information with service providers (processors) who act on our behalf under contract, including: Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payment processing), our hosting and content-delivery provider (site delivery), Google (Google sign-in, and Google Analytics only with your consent), and our transactional email provider (account and referral emails). We also use search-engine tools (such as Google Search Console and IndexNow) for site indexing; these do not receive your account data.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only: to the service providers described above; to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; to protect the rights, safety, and security of iLoveDXF, our users, and the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.
International data transfers
iLoveDXF is operated from the United States and uses providers that may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Saved reports, credits, and referral records are kept until you delete them or close your account. Files sent to the two server-side conversion tools are not retained after the conversion completes. Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. We delete or de-identify personal information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and database row-level security to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of the 'sale' or 'sharing' of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can use the opt-out on our Privacy Choices page, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
EU/UK/EEA residents (GDPR): you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, use your account settings, the Privacy Choices page, or contact us at support@ilovedxf.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@ilovedxf.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the 'last updated' date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
