Drone Frame & Mount Generator

Create a dimensioned 2D frame template with motor and flight-controller mounting holes. Preview and export DXF/SVG in your browser.

The frame plate is a single merged outline with motor and controller holes. Dimensions are in the selected units.

Template only. Check component fit, material, fasteners, clearances, and structural strength in CAD and with your own prototype before flight.

How it helps

Choose quad X, quad +, or hexacopter motor layouts.
Set wheelbase, arm width, center plate, and motor/controller bolt patterns.
Preview a merged plate outline and download DXF or SVG; processing stays in your browser.

Best practices

  • - Measure your actual motors, flight controller, fasteners, and clearances before choosing hole patterns.
  • - Inspect the downloaded drawing in CAD and check units, hole locations, and material fit before cutting.
  • - Build and inspect a prototype before installing flight hardware.

Limitations

  • - This creates a 2D mounting template, not a flight-ready airframe or engineering strength analysis.
  • - It does not calculate thrust, weight balance, vibration, propeller clearance, or flight performance.
  • - Motor and controller mounting patterns are square and user-defined; verify the exact component drawing.

FAQ

Which layouts can I create?

The first version supports quadcopter X, quadcopter +, and six-motor hexacopter layouts.

What does wheelbase mean here?

It is the distance between opposite motor centers for the X and hex layouts, and the distance between opposite motors for the + layout.

Is the frame safe to fly?

No flight-safety or structural rating is implied. Review materials, fasteners, clearances, and strength in CAD, then validate a physical prototype before flight.

Is my design uploaded?

No. Geometry and preview are generated locally in your browser. Only export requires sign-in and uses one credit.
