How it helps

Reads RS-274X Gerber paste layers, board outline and Excellon drill files, including RoundRect macro pads.
Applies per-side aperture shrink, minimum feature filtering and optional corner rounding.
Mirrors bottom-side stencils and adds an optional cut frame margin.
Reports IPC-7525 aspect and area ratio warnings for your foil thickness.

Best practices

  • - Export the paste layers (F_Paste / B_Paste) together with Edge.Cuts in one ZIP.
  • - Start with 0.02–0.05 mm shrink per side and tune it with a test cut on your laser.
  • - Use a 0.10–0.12 mm foil for fine-pitch parts; thicker foil needs larger apertures.
  • - Preview the SVG before cutting and check the smallest aperture against your laser spot size.

Limitations

  • - Custom macro apertures are approximated by their bounding box; RoundRect corner radius is preserved.
  • - Clear polarity, step-and-repeat and aperture blocks are not supported and are reported as warnings.
  • - No fiducial half-etching or step stencils; kerf, foil and process settings remain your responsibility.

FAQ

Which Gerber files do I need?

The top or bottom paste layer is required. Add the board outline (Edge.Cuts / .GKO) for alignment and Excellon drill files if you want hole reference circles.

Can I use this for a bottom-side stencil?

Yes. Choose Bottom and the tool uses B_Paste and mirrors the geometry so it matches the board when flipped.

What does aperture shrink do?

It reduces every pad opening on each side to compensate for laser kerf and improve paste release and bridging.

Are my Gerber files uploaded?

No. Parsing and stencil generation run locally in your browser.
